Welcome to Diary of an Eccentric! My name is Anna, and I’ve been blogging here since 2007. This is where I enjoy sharing my love of books, reading, and writing. I hope you’re here because you share the same passions!
You’ll see book reviews, book spotlights, excerpts, and giveaways, as well as author guest posts and interviews. If you’ve spent any time perusing my online Diary, you’ll see that I love Jane Austen and the fan fiction novels she has inspired, as well as fiction set during World War II. But really, I just enjoy a good story that lets me escape from the stresses of the real world for awhile and takes me on an adventure.

Meanwhile, I am writing my first novel, which I will talk about here when I’m further along in the process. My favorite authors include Jane Austen (of course), Jill Mansell, Karen White, Anita Shreve, and Amy Tan. Some of my favorite books are Pride and Prejudice, Persuasion, Emma, The Book Thief, and The Joy Luck Club (meaning these are the books that I re-read the most).
