I am open to receiving books from publishers, publicists, and authors for review consideration. However, I am accepting very few review requests these days, as I seek to spend more time with my family, free up time to read more books from my personal library, spend more time writing my own novel, and take on more freelance book editing projects.
*Before you send me a review request, please take some time to peruse my site to get a feel for the kinds of books I read and enjoy. This saves your time and mine. I have compiled all of my book reviews in alphabetical order by title.
*Please note that I have a full-time job and a family and am writing my own novel in my spare time, so it can take me a few months to post a review. I am willing to pre-schedule a review date if requested, but keep in mind that my review schedule for a particular month generally is filled a few months in advance.
*I review every book I read, including those I purchased or borrowed from the library. If I didn’t finish a book, I will explain why. If I didn’t like a book, I will explain why. I cannot guarantee a positive review, but I can guarantee an honest and fair one.
*I occasionally post my reviews on Amazon, as time permits, but cannot guarantee that I will do so. I prefer to spend my free time doing what I enjoy most — reading and writing — which limits the time I have for other online activities. I do give star ratings to books on Goodreads and LibraryThing, as that is how I keep track of what books I read for my own purposes.
*I do not accept monetary compensation for my reviews. I never sell the complimentary review copies I receive, though I sometimes pass them on to other readers. I never share the files of the electronic books I receive.
*I do not spotlight or otherwise advertise books I have not read or do not plan to read.
*I occasionally host giveaways of books I have edited, reviewed, or received for review or as part of a blog tour.
