Between that and The Women in the Castle, I’m not surprised that much of the rest of my reading for the year was lighthearted.

Oh wow, I’ve heard how fantastic Women in the Castle is. I also loved Darcy’s Hope, Best Part of Love, and The Particular Charm of Jane Austen (can’t wait for the next installment). I’ve got Mendacity & Mourning, Attempting Elizabeth, and Darcy by Another Name on my TBR stack so good to know they made your list. Oh, but I do want to get to three more on that list (and I have you to thank for adding Victoria’s series onto my wishlist after all those reviews last year. LOL)
Holy Smoly! I do love seeing our The Darcy Monologues make your list. Humbled by the privilege.
Wishing you many more fab reads in 2018, Anna!

Happy reading to you as well! If you love historical fiction, and don’t mind the difficult subject matter, The Women in the Castle is a must-read. I still think about those characters!

“The entire collection will make readers weak in the knees with deliciously sweet and sexy renditions of their favorite Austen hero.” I loved your review. And I am so thrilled that the anthology made your 2017 favorites list! So humbled to be amongst such stellar reads. I hope my DreamTeam of authors knows how very proud I am of their stories. Thank you, Anna, for including “The Darcy Monologues”!

I mainly read Darcy and Elizabeth books so haven’t read any of the others but I have read most of the P&P stories and the others are on my kindle waiting 😳😳. Some really great books there. If you haven’t already read the other two in the series by Jennifer Joy, you really should Anna. Happy, happy reading in 2018. 😊

That’s the best part of these lists: discovering new books! We need more time in the day for reading though!

Anna, what is this? Such a surprise (and an honor!), to see Darcy By Any Other Name on your list.
Thank you, sincerely, for the time you devote to reviewing and sharing. Seventy-three books represents many, many hours. I hope you have a blessed and very happy 2018.

All The Light We Cannot See is one of my favorite books of the past five years, and seeing Mendacity & Mourning in its company (along with so many wonderful JAFF novels) is truly amazing–not to mention an honor. Thanks, Anna, for this and for all you do to encourage the love of reading.

Fantastic list, Anna! It’s lovely to see what other people are reading. I’ve read a few of these and I agree they were awesome. I was very lax in 2017 though and barely read anything – all these Best Of lists are certainly helping shape my 2018 TBR list! Thanks for the recs and huge congratulations to all those who earned a mention! 🙂

Thanks for compiling your favourites list Anna. I have to confess to not having read any of the non-JAFF books on it, but I’m going to make a point of reading your reviews to see if any would appeal to me. Of the ten JAFF books, I’ve read four of them and the remainder make up a small part of my decidedly large TBR list.
The Darcy Monologues and the Darcy’s Hope books made my top three but my number one is Cass Grafton’s A Quest for Mr. Darcy. If you haven’t read it yet, I and many others would recommend adding it to your TBR list.
