The short lists for the 2011 Indie Lit Awards have been announced! Thanks to all of you who nominated your favorite books that were published last year. As a voting member in the Poetry category, I will be reading the following books over the next few weeks:
Beyond the Scent of Sorrow by Sweta Srivastava Vikram (Modern History Press)
Catalina by Laurie Soriano (Lummox Press)
What Looks Like an Elephant by Edward Nudelman (Lummox Press)
Three Women: A Poetic Triptych and Selected Poems by Emma Eden Ramos (Heavy Hands Ink)
Sonics in Warholia by Megan Volpert (Sibling Rivalry Press)
Click here to find out what titles are on the short lists in Biography/Memoir, GLBTQ, Fiction, Mystery, Non-Fiction, and Speculative Fiction. The winners will be announced in March, and I will post my thoughts on each of the short listed poetry books at that time. I hope you are all as excited as I am!
