With the end of the year coming soon, it’s time for you to choose your favorite books of 2011 and nominate them for the Indie Lit Awards! The Indie Lit Awards give all readers (those “independent” from the publishing industry) a chance to nominate books in a variety of categories, up to 5 books in each genre. The forms are quick and easy to complete, and the only requirements are that you nominate books that were published in 2011 and submit your nominations by December 31, 2011.
Because I am a voting member in the Poetry category, I especially hope you will take stock of recently published poetry titles and nominate your favorites! Serena is the Poetry director and does a lot to show how poetry really is for everyone. She’s even created a list of 2011 titles to help.
The voting members will be reading the books that get the most nominations, so why don’t you help plan my reading for the new year by nominating some? Pretty please? Thank you to all who have already answered my pleas!

I like this post. Excellent! I have made nominations in the Fiction category, but I’m not sure if I reached my limit of 5 yet. LOL I’m terrible…I really should write things down.
I know which books I’d nominate for the poetry category, but I’m not allowed as director, so I help we get more nomination help.

I did my fiction nominations right away because I was afraid I’d forget. I don’t read much in the other genres, so I didn’t have any books to nominate in those categories.

Thank you for the reminder because I want to remember to nominate some books. I have got to get more organized next year.
I hear you’re having an early birthday celebration this weekend! Happy Early Birthday & enjoy!

I can’t wait to see which books get nominated for the category I’m judging (memoirs/biography). I’m looking forward to reading some great books!

Me, too! I haven’t read poetry in awhile, so I’m getting excited about it.
