Today is The Girl’s 12th birthday. I can’t believe that next year she will be a teenager. I’m not ready for that at all!
It’s been a delight to watch her grow into a beautiful young woman, who is smart and funny and a girl I’m proud to call mine.
She had a fun time dressing as a penguin for her party, which the youngsters in attendance enjoyed. However, she was a little dismayed that there weren’t any photos of her sans costume.
Today, we’re celebrating with a Hershey Park trip. We’ve never been there, so we’re looking forward to it.
**On a separate note, this summer has been a hectic one, and it’s put a dent in my reading. Because I don’t have a review backlog at the moment, I might be posting only a few times per week until things slow down a bit. I don’t want to enter a period of blog burnout, so I think pulling back a bit for the next month or so is probably the best option.**
