Beginning in September, readers will be able to nominate their favorite books of 2011 in a variety of categories as part of the Indie Lit Awards. So now is the time to start compiling your list for the best in Biography/Memoir, GLBTQ, Literary Fiction, Mystery, Non-Fiction, Poetry, and Speculative Fiction. You can read about the awards here, and more information about the nomination process will be released shortly.
As you already know, I’m a voting member in the Poetry category, and our director Serena and the other voting members would love for you to help us compile a list of poetry books published in 2011. Here’s what we have so far, and if you have a recommendation, just leave a comment and Serena will add it to the list.
I hope you’re all as excited as I am!
